Founded in 1974, the Korean Association of Immunologists (KAI) is the leading professional society dedicated to advancing immunology in Korea and contributing to global health. Bringing together researchers, clinicians, educators, and industry experts across basic, translational, and clinical immunology, KAI fosters scientific excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the translation of discoveries into improved health outcomes.
As a member of the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) and the Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania (FIMSA), KAI plays an active role in shaping scientific discourse and addressing pressing challenges in immune-related diseases. The Association has hosted major international conferences, including the 12th International Symposium on Dendritic Cells (DC 2012), FIMSA 2021, and the 12th Annual Meeting of the International Cytokine & Interferon Society jointly with KAI 2024 (Cytokines 2024 & KAI 2024) providing platforms for the exchange of cutting-edge research. Its flagship KAI International Meeting attracts over 1,600 participants annually from Korea and abroad.
KAI publishes Immune Network, an international peer-reviewed journal, and supports the next generation of scientists through training programs, academic meetings, and outreach initiatives. With a strong membership and strategic partnerships, KAI continues to advance the frontiers of immunology, promoting innovation and collaboration in Korea and worldwide.
